Amelia O'Halloran
Amelia O’Halloran is a Sociology research fellow with Harvard University’s Project on Human Development in Chicago Neighborhoods.
Amelia completed her MPhil in Digital Humanities at the University of Cambridge, where she focused on the effects of public self-disclosure on intimacy development. She also worked as a researcher at the Minderoo Centre for Technology and Democracy on projects related to responsible Artificial Intelligence practices.
Prior to attending the University of Cambridge, Amelia worked as a management consultant in the Cybersecurity practice of McKinsey & Company, supporting companies across the US and Taiwan to augment their privacy, customer safety, and digital trust capabilities.
Amelia graduated with a dual Bachelors degree in Computer Science and East Asian Studies from Brown University. Her undergraduate thesis was a hybrid technical-legal paper focused on intimate privacy abuses perpetuated through deepfakes.
