William Julius Wilson is the 2020 recipient of the Robert Hauser Career Award. This award is granted by the Inequality, Poverty and Mobility section of the American Sociological Association to mark and celebrate the field’s most fundamental accomplishments. This award honors Professor Wilson for a distinguished, impactful and remarkable career and for his pathbreaking and enduring contributions to the sociology of inequality, poverty and mobility.
