Yinan Wang is a PhD student in Sociology. She received her bachelor degrees in English and Sociology at Tsinghua University in Beijing, China. Yinan is broadly interested in the intersection of work and occupation, gender, and culture. Prior to starting her PhD, Yinan researched the “good worker” ideals in the context of digitality with a focus on individual’s negotiation of their gender presentations in the workplace. In graduate school, she plans to continue her study on how technology influences individuals’ working experience, social relations, and social/economic outcomes.
