Sociology (Joint - History and Science Primary, Sociology Allied), Class of 2027

I am an international student from Singapore, jointly concentrating in Sociology and History of Science, with a secondary field in Education Studies. I'm writing a thesis about how assisted reproduction technologies affect the way women understand their own fertility, and happy to chat about anything to do with archives, interviews, or international fieldwork!

Outside of the classroom, you can find me coaching competitive debate, organising events for the Southeast Asian community, bilingual book publishing, and cross-tabbing data from Harvard’s youth poll.

Why Sociology?

I found Sociology in my junior fall and have loved finding ways to chart my own academic path at Harvard! I am especially interested in how people make sense of deeply personal decisions within larger structure of power, policy, and culture -- Sociology is exactly the place to do that.
