Nefara Riesch is a doctoral student in Sociology and Social Policy. Her work focuses on inequality, race and ethnicity, criminal justice reform policy, and policing. Prior to her doctoral studies, Nefara worked in policy research, focusing on homelessness and vulnerable populations. She also has extensive experience working in college access and retention. Nefara is from East Palo Alto, California.
