Research Interests: Political sociology, authoritarianism, organizations, knowledge, mixed methods

Jingyun Dai is a Doctoral Student in Sociology. Jingyun is broadly interested in political sociology, authoritarianism, organizations, and sociology of knowledge. She has conducted research on advocacy efforts of environmental NGOs and state-society relations in China. An article on advocacy strategies of these environmental NGOs is forthcoming in The China Journal (with Anthony J. Spires). She is originally from mainland China and received her bachelor’s degree in sociology from the Chinese University of Hong Kong.
