Henry Ma
Hey everyone, my name is Henry! :) I am a senior pursuing a double concentration in Sociology and Molecular & Cellular Biology (with a secondary in Astrophysics). I grew up in Easton, Massachusetts, and now I’m living in Winthrop!
I love learning how things work, so I was drawn to sociology for its study of the institutions and structures that shape our society and its disparities. In particular, I’m interested in health, race, housing, communities, and their intersection. I believe that sociology offers powerful tools for medicine and healthcare, helping us to address the root causes of inequitable health outcomes.
Outside of the classroom, I am active in Partners in Health Engage and several PBHA programs, and I’m also involved in research. In my free time, I enjoy singing and playing the piano, practicing nature photography, and hanging out with my friends. Please reach out if you have any questions at all, or if you just want to talk about common interests! :D
