Sociology - Data Analytics Track, Class of 2027

I'm a Senior at the College studying Sociology on the Data Analytics track. I'm really interested in using sociology to better understand the systems that shape everyday life -- especially around education, community building, and inequality -- and how that connects to meaningful change. Outside of class, I spend a lot of time doing mentorship and community work. I've worked with youth around the Greater Boston area as a mentor and educator, supporting students with academics, wellness, and college access. I've also been involved in a few student orgs and initiatives on campus including Harvard Undergraduate Consulting on Business and the Environment and the IOP Civics Teaching Program, as well as the boards of the Harvard Black Students Association and the Eritrean and Ethiopian Students Association.

In my free time, I like to shoot film photography, go on walks, and listen to podcasts!

As a Sociology Peer Advisor, I’m excited to help people figure out what they want out of the concentration and how to make it their own. I especially enjoy supporting students who found sociology later on in their time at Harvard and want help navigating all the different directions you can take it.

Why Sociology?

I really appreciate how sociology blends critical thinking with real-world impact. It's pushed me to ask better questions, challenge assumptions, and think more deeply about change -- which is what makes it so meaningful to me.
