Sociology - Data Analytics Honors Track, Class of 2027

Hi! My name is Chloe and I am a senior in Dunster House, originally from Trenton, New Jersey. I am concentrating in Sociology on the Data Analytics Track but also enjoy language learning, earning my citations in French and Spanish. My sociological interests include Latin American and Caribbean culture, immigration, and the relationship between race/color and social class.

At Harvard, I am a member of several student organizations, such as serving on the board of the Harvard Caribbean Club, and enjoy volunteering with after school programs in the greater Boston area. In my free time, you can find me exploring the city, going for a run along the Charles, or doing something creative (drawing, painting, crocheting, sewing, etc.). I am excited to answer any questions you have, so please reach out!

Why Sociology?

Before coming to Harvard, I wasn't really sure what sociology is but, thankfully, I stumbled across the concentration as a first-year. I quickly fell in love with sociology since it not only seeks answers to some of the questions I am most interested in, but also teaches how to ask questions about the world around you. Taking courses within the sociology department has introduced me to a wide range of topics such as law, politics and culture, and sociological theory. The best part of studying sociology is that you can actually see the concepts that you learn about in classes in everyday life. Also, the sociology department has some of the best professors and faculty!
