Zoree Jones, Class of '24, named member of the Phi Beta Kappa Senior 48

The Department of Sociology congratulates Zoree Jones on being inducted into the Alpha Iota Chapter of Phi Beta Kappa, the nation’s oldest academic honor society. Zoree is part of the 'Senior 48' from the Class of 2024.

Zoree S. Jones, ‘24, is a double concentrator in Sociology and Government on the Technology Science track. Her academic interests span technology ethics, misinformation, organizational behavior, and socioeconomic inequality in higher education. She has conducted research on these topics at the Business School, Graduate School of Education, and Radcliffe Institute for Advanced Study. Her senior thesis delves into food insecurity and strategies employed by food pantries and food banks to tackle the concurrent obstacles brought about by COVID-19 and inflation, with a particular focus on how they support individuals with dietary restrictions.

Zoree is also passionate about social impact and previously worked as an intern at the John F. Kennedy Presidential Library Foundation, serving on a bipartisan awards committee to honor Americans under the age of 40 for their commitment to public service. This past summer, she interned at Visa, focusing on inclusive growth strategy and impact measurement.
