William Julius Wilson has been awarded the 2014 W.E.B. Du Bois Career of Distinguished Scholarship Award. This major award of the American Sociological Association honors a scholar whose body of lifetime work has contributed in important ways to the advancement of the discipline.  Wilson will receive this award at the Annual Meeting of the ASA in San Francisco to be held in August 2014.
