Robert Manduca received funding from the Russell Sage Foundation (RSF) for his project, "The American Dream in the Great Depression: Absolute Income Mobility in the United States, 1915-1940." As part of the "Intergenerational Mobility in the United States: Mechanisms and Policy Impacts" initiative, the RSF awarded a grant to Robert Manduca and co-authors James J. Feigenbaum (Princeton University) and Maximillian Hell (Stanford University). This initiative, which is part of the RSF's Social Inequality Program, has also funded Patrick Sharkey's project, "The Effect of Violent Crime on Economic Mobility: Moving Toward Casual Inference through Instrumental Variables."
