Lucy Tu '24 named member of the Phi Beta Kappa Junior 24

Lucy Tu '24, a double concentrator in Sociology and the History of Science with a secondary in Neuroscience has been inducted into the Alpha Iota Chapter of Phi Beta Kappa, the nation’s oldest academic honor society. This year, 24 juniors were inducted.

As a Research Fellow at Massachusetts General Hospital and the Harvard Kennedy School, Tu studies the relationship between public health epidemiology and different forms of structural inequity, such as in labor markets and in the criminal justice system. She is also a freelance health and science writer. She has written for The Lancet, the New England Journal of Medicine, The Guardian, and Smithsonian Magazine, and her work has been cited by the Brennan Center for Justice and Massachusetts Executive Office of Health and Human Services. At Harvard, she has served as the President of the Harvard Undergraduate Law Review and Director of the Boston Refugee Youth Enrichment Extension program.
