Xiana Bueno Garcia
Xiana Bueno Garcia holds a PhD in Demography from the Autonomous University of Barcelona (UAB) and a BA in Sociology from the University of A Coruña (UDC). She has been a postdoctoral researcher at the Center for Demographic Studies (CED) at the UAB since 2010 and a member of Group for Demographic and Migration Studies (GEDEM) since 2006. Her current research is focused on international migration in Spain, family formation processes (including union formation and fertility), and living arrangements. Beginning October 2014 she will be a Beatriu de Pinós Research Fellow during two years (2014-2016) in the Department of Sociology at Harvard University (USA) where she will be working with the “Gender Equity and Low Fertility in Postindustrial Societies” Project directed by Professor Mary C. Brinton.
