I am an active scholar involved in multiple projects addressing education, inequality, and culture. I enjoy collaborating with colleagues, graduate students, and undergraduate students, and I employ a variety of methodological approaches to answer my research questions. I joined the sociology department at Lehman College as an associate professor in 2013. Prior to that, I was an associate professor of sociology at Louisiana State University.
