He studies how social structures shape and are shaped by the organization, spread, and evaluation of ideas and people. In his research, he primarily uses computational methods and relies on large-scale archival data. Before Harvard, Silvan was an Empirical Research Fellow in the Management & Organizations Department at Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management.
