Research Interests: Political sociology, race/ethnicity, inequality, classifications, urban sociology.

Sam Donahue is an Assistant Professor of Sociology at Harvard University. His research considers the nature and implications of group boundaries and social identity. He uses quantitative and computational methods to explore the origins of group membership, mechanisms of inclusion and exclusion, and systems of classification. His work has been supported by the Russell Sage Foundation and published in the *American Sociological Review*, the *American Journal of Sociology*, and *Criminology*. He received his Ph.D. in Sociology from Columbia University.
