*Responsibilities:* Undergraduate program management; undergraduate advising; department curriculum and course catalog

Rebecca Russell manages the undergraduate program in Sociology. She is responsible for ensuring that undergraduate concentrators are in good standing and making progress toward satisfying degree requirements, liaising with faculty and the department chair regarding the curriculum, and organizing the senior thesis writing process, including overseeing two dozen faculty and graduate student thesis advisors. She also supervises the department's Concentration Advisors and Peer Concentration Advisors, and manages course sectioning and scheduling. In addition, Rebecca is a member of the the Committee on Undergraduate Degrees and the Curriculum Committee.

Rebecca received a B.A. in Chinese Language and Literature from the University of Kansas, an M.A. in National Development from National Taiwan University, and an M.A. in Higher, Adult, and Lifelong Education from Michigan State University. She holds a graduate certificate in Learning Design and Technology from Harvard Extension School. Rebecca previously worked in student service and international education roles at the University of Michigan and the George Washington University.
