**Julia Sass Rubin** has been part of the faculty of the Edward J. Bloustein School of Planning and Public Policy since 2003. Dr. Rubin’s research examines the intersection of education policy, community development, and social justice. Dr. Rubin has advised a number of organizations, including the United States Small Business Administration; The John D. and Catherine T. MacArthur Foundation; the Appalachian Regional Commission; the Overseas Private Investment Corporation; and the New Jersey Redevelopment Authority. Previously, she consulted for McKinsey & Company; worked in brand management for the Procter & Gamble and Eastman Kodak Companies; and taught strategic management and marketing at Assumption University in Bangkok, Thailand, as a Henry Luce Scholar. Prior to joining the Bloustein School faculty, Dr. Rubin was a post-doctoral fellow at the Alfred A. Taubman Center for Public Policy at Brown University. Dr. Rubin earned her PhD and MA from Harvard University, an MBA with distinction from Harvard Business School, and an AB with honors from Harvard-Radcliffe College.
