Ethan Raker is a doctoral student in sociology. Originally from Indianapolis, he graduated from Columbia University with a BA in sociology and business management.
His diverse research interests include (im)migration, intergroup relations, neighborhood segregation, and the social and demographic consequences of natural disasters.
Prior to his doctoral studies, Ethan held a post-baccalaureate fellowship at the Kinder Institute for Urban Research at Rice University. He is currently a graduate affiliate at the Harvard Center for Population and Development Studies and a Malcolm H. Wiener PhD Scholar in Poverty and Justice at the Harvard Kennedy School.
