She studies violence, homicide, mortality, collective efficacy, social trust, and neighborhood inequality. Prior to beginning her PhD, she worked with Professor Rob Sampson in Harvard’s Sociology department for two years as a Pre-doctoral Research Fellow, working on the Project on Human Development in Chicago Neighborhoods (PHDCN+).
