Research Interests: The role of institutions in reproducing inequality; how neighborhood environments shape health outcomes; inequalities in exposure to the criminal justice system.

Alix Winter is a PhD student in Sociology & Social Policy and a doctoral fellow in the Multidisciplinary Program in Inequality and Social Policy. She received her BA from the University of Pennsylvania in Health and Societies. She then worked for two years as a Research Assistant at the Understanding Autism project at Columbia University.
