 *Research Interests:* Historical Sociology, Health Disparities, Social Inequality, Social Theory

 **Aja Antoine-Jones** is a doctoral student in the Department of Sociology at the University of California, Berkeley. Her current research examines the relationship between residential segregation and infectious mortality in the early twentieth century U.S. She has received fellowships from UC-Berkeley, Schomburg Center for Research in Black Culture, Ford Foundation, National Science Foundation (GRFP) and American Council of Learned Societies. Aja holds a BA from Brandeis University.
