DESCRIPTION:<p><a href="https://cei.hsites.harvard.edu/">Contemporary Ethnography and Inequality Workshop</a> presentation by <a href="https://chavez.ucla.edu/person/laura-chavez-moreno/">Laura Chávez-Moreno</a><span>, Assistant Professor at UCLA.</span></p><p>Join us for a talk with Dr. Chávez-Moreno on her book,&nbsp;<em>How Schools Make Race: Teaching Latinx Racialization in America</em>—recipient of the AAHHE Book Award by an Early Career Scholar! We will consider the ways schools shape ideas about race and, in turn, efforts towards educational equity.
