This award was established in memory of Stephen Rose, AB 2006, who studied sociology as an undergraduate at Harvard College. One of Stephen’s favorite quotes by Oliver Wendell Holmes, Sr., states “The mind, once stretched by a new idea, never regains its original dimensions.” Funds are dedicated to supporting independent undergraduate research experiences on topics related to sociology and research-related travel. Najya will use the Rose funds to write her senior thesis next year. For more information on Najya, please visit her site: https://najyawilliams.com/
