Monica Bell's qualifying paper "From Legal Cynicism to Situational Trust," received four awards from the American Sociological Association: the Outstanding Graduate Student Paper Award from the Law Section, from the Section on Race, Gender, and Class, from the section on Crime, Law, and Deviance, and the Richard A. Peterson Award for the Best Student Paper from the Culture Section.
