Lawrence D. Bobo, W. E. B. Du Bois Professor of the Social Sciences, will serve as Dean of Social Science in the Faculty of Arts and Sciences beginning on October 1, 2018. 

In this role, Professor Bobo will have principal responsibility for all academic, financial, and space planning across the Social Science Division, working in partnership with the departments and centers. He will also serve as a member of the Academic Planning Group, the academic senior leadership team that advises the FAS Dean, Claudine Gay, on a broad range of policy and resource issues.
