Barbara Kiviat is a 2017 Equitable Growth grantee

Barbara Kiviat, Ph.D. candidate in Sociology & Social Policy, is one of 20 grantees in the Washington Center for Equitable Growth's 2017 classBarbara received a doctoral research grant for work on her dissertation, "Prediction and Moral Order." She will study car insurers’ use of big data and predictive analytics to understand how regulators, members of industry, and other key actors together establish the market rules by which personal data determine economic opportunity.
