Professor Orlando Patterson was invited to join a group which discussed with President Obama how best to deal with the problem of police-youth interaction following the Ferguson killing and demonstrations. The group consisted of several big city mayors and police chiefs as well as the Attorney General Eric Holder and Secretary of Education Arne Duncan. The White House has invited Professor Patterson to return for another meeting on January 28 to discuss the President's My Brother's Keeper youth initiative.
